48 ‘guns’ took part in the afternoon shoot: split into teams of 6, all named after a Yorkshire Dale, the guests were shooting for a range of Trophies and had to shoot 10 clays at each of 4 stands or ‘traps’.
All took place on chris Douthwaites land overlooking the Wharfe Valley looking towards Ilkley.
Yorkshire Farm Foods provided a shoot tea and Hog Roast and Chevin based York Gun Club provided the supervised shooting on the day.
Results:
The Dales Bennett Trophy, open to all guns on the day, was won by Chris Booth.
The Fryer Team Trophy was won by ‘Wharfedale‘ team who’s members included John Cobbald and Chris Booth.
The Douthwaite Cup, for under 18’s was won by Jack Denwood, (pictured right) after a shoot off between Carl Saunders. Both 15.
The Shoulder Shot, ladies trophy, was won by Amanda Brown.
